In 2005 I decided to begin the new adventure of a college education (trying to figure out how to get a degree is interesting in itself). Not that I haven't had my fair share of education, except for cosmetology school (which provided me with a very lucrative 20 year career) it has all been life and self taught, oh and not to forget the new tricks each of my children have taught me along the way. As you know self teaching can sometimes lead to bad habits, the worst being procrastination. Hence my life long dream of an internet business has not been fulfilled yet. But on the up side I have learned a few secrets and lots of things I do not want to do on the net, there is a whole page devoted to that little adventure. As you might guess my site is finally getting built because it is part of my final for a class (better some way than not at all is my motto). I learned HTML in a word editor and always found Dreamweaver a little cumbersome but after having taken this course I am seeing some advantage to this program. I also use WordPress and am anxious to figure out how to build those page in this program. I learned PHP (self taught from a book called "Learn Pearl in a Weekend") so I could set up a shopping cart, it was free, being a GNU and the community of people there are extremely helpful, there will be more on this subject in the design pages of my site.
